Our fees
We believe our charging rates are highly competitive for the specialist services that we provide. Our current hourly rates (exclusive of VAT) are as follows:

Sometimes, new clients are understandably concerned that they will receive a large and unexpected bill. In our experience, once a pattern of invoicing has been established, this concern disappears. Our usual practice is to invoice monthly, which also reduces the risk of an unwelcome surprise.
We are happy to have initial discussions with a potential client on a "without obligation" basis, ie where no charge is made prior to our being instructed.
Once instructed, we are happy to assist our clients to budget for legal costs. Depending on the individual circumstances, we are willing to discuss one or more of the following:
- giving either a quotation or an indication of likely costs for well-defined tasks
- agreeing to notify our client when costs reach a pre-agreed level, and (if required) to suspend work until a new level is agreed
- providing a discount on our normal hourly rates for long term secondments and under annual retainers.
