Our history
Anderson & Company was formed in 1994 and our client base has grown steadily since the 1990s, mostly on the basis of personal recommendations. At the date of writing we employ six lawyers and a legally-trained research assistant.

| 1994 | Anderson & Company is established as a firm of solicitors by Mark Anderson. Mark had previously spent 7 years as a solicitor with Bristows in London. Mark's top 5 clients from his Bristows days continue to instruct him. |
| 1996 | Lionel Jermy becomes a consultant to the firm. Publication of our first book, Technology: The Law of Exploitation and Transfer (Butterworths). |
| 1997 | Victor Warner joins the firm as a trainee solicitor; qualifies in 1998. |
| 2000 | Firm's offices move to Oxfordshire. Simon Keevey joins the firm, as a joint appointment with Imperial Innovations Limited. Sara Barnard becomes a consultant to the firm. |
| 2002 | Julie Hutson PhD joins the firm as a trainee solicitor; qualifies in 2004. After several years with the firm, she is headhunted by the Wellcome Trust to be an in-house lawyer in their technology transfer division. |
| 2005 | Paul Maclennan joins the firm as a trainee solicitor; qualifies on 1st January 2008. |
| 2007 | Brendan Biggs DPhil joins the firm as a research assistant on our seventh book, Drafting Agreements in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries (OUP). |
| 2008 | Lisa Allebone PhD joins the firm as a trainee solicitor; qualifies in 2009. |
| 2009 | We make our first application to be listed in Chambers Directory: the firm is listed in Band 2 and Mark is listed as a leading individual in Band 1 for Life Science transactions. |
