IP Transactions: Law and Practice

This flagship five day course is run at University College London’s Faculty of Laws and provides 29 CPD points.

The course is designed for newly-qualified IP lawyers and provides intensive training in a range of subjects that are useful to transactional IP lawyers, including:

  • Introduction to the legal framework for IP transactions: IP, property and contract laws.
  • Other areas of law that are relevant to IP transactions, including competition, insolvency and tax.
  • Legal practice in relation to a range of types of IP transaction, including assignments, licences, charges and options.
  • Commercial practice across a range of market sectors, including M&A, IT, life sciences, media transactions, and university technology transfer.
